Projects: Key of Thundera - Gold chrome foil

I had mentioned this in older posts and thought it would be interesting for you to see. As you may know, I have had problems using metallic foil card in the past for my Ironman mask, but have now found a fantastic technique to achieve the same results with the added benefit of being able to leave the glue flaps un-foiled allowing for a proper glueable surface. I am not quite at the point where I can mass produce this on a large scale but the potential is very exciting to me and look forward to the time when I can make metallic foiled paper kits to order. What do you think, would you like a metallic chrome paper model?

I'm very curious as to the technique itself. Is it done by printing or are you using a gilding technique of some sort?

I think it would be awesome. I'm working a T-800 terminator model, and it would be nice to have chrome printed parts with a glueable surface!
